PEDRO CAXADE. A Coruña

Pedro started acting, singing and writing music as a child. He studied piano and singing in the Conservatory of Music and started as an actor with the Youth Classics of La Coruña, Spain, were he made his stage debut in a production of Cervante’s «Entremeses», a Spanish Golden Age comedy. He appeared in many more productions through his teens until, at the age of seventeen, he moved to Madrid to attend the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

He soon found the Royal Academy too cold and impersonal and dropped out to form his own company, «Buffa Theatre», to successfully tour Italy, Spain and France, with some of the most lovable European Classics. He directed and starred «Richard III», «Don Quixote»and «A Doll’s House» among others. In 2010 his adaptation of the Italian classic «Maid to Master», earned him a major box office success in the European theatre scene.

While touring in England his abilities caught the eye of director Simon Blake, who cast him as Luca in his award winning «Still», alongside Aidan Guillen and Elodie Yung. Since then, his career had him relocate to London as his home base to star in major TV shows, like Peaky Blinders or Stella, where he appeared opposite Ruth Jones.

The London theatre stages willingly embraced his acting and vocal talent and had him performing some of the most iconic musical roles, like Dante in «The Divine Comedy» or the unforgettable Argentinean in the acclaimed multi million production of «Moulin Rouge», with Baz Luhrmann personally praising his work.

His musical abilities had him writing for other artists and working on regular basis with some top producers like John Robertson (Morcheeba, Grace Jones), Steve Honest (Michael Jackson), Steve Williams (Kylie, Britney Spears), Metropolis Studios,…

In 2018, after creating and directing a play for the Victoria & Albert Museum, M.A.R.S. Worldwide label asked him to do the art direction and the music videos for the cinematic London outfit Komraus. His outstanding directing work with the band has won him an excellent press coverage across Europe as a film director too.
